Jack Robinson, Jr. began his packaging career at 16 years old with Hoerner Waldorf in Lexington, North Carolina. A graduate of the University of South Carolina, Jack grew up in the packaging business. Being around the industry from an early age allowed him to gain experience in production, sales service, sales, graphics, and management. In October 1994, Jack decided to use what he learned to start Volunteer Box, LLC.
Volunteer Box, LLC. is located just outside of Nashville in Gallatin, Tennessee. The company operated for many years as a full-service corrugated box manufacturer. Over the years, Jack and his team noticed the specific shipping protection that the furniture and appliance industries needed. Tuff Angle edge protectors were developed in response to those needs. Since their creation, the proprietary edge protectors have successfully demonstrated their value and reliability in the manufacturing and shipping environment.
